Honoring excellence and breaking barriers – The MIFF 2025 Trailblazer Award celebrated award-winning actress and singer, Tia Carrere, the incredible Nico Santos known for his iconic roles in “Superstore” and “Crazy Rich Asians”, and, finally, “The Debut”, which starred the one and only Dante Basco!  A powerful story that was the first Filipino American film to be released theatrically nationwide. The three were awarded during the Manila International Film Festival’s Closing Night Awards Gala at the Beverly Hilton.
